If you’ve already had your Marvel fix from Avengers: Infinity Wars this year, and have no idea about what Marvel Studios will be bringing for you next, then there is a good news for you!
The well-known Muslim superhero of Marvel Comics, Kamala Khan AKA Ms. Marvel will be making her first debut in a movie in 2019!
The movie is ‘in the works’, said Kevin Feige while giving an interview to BBC, and Brie Larson would be playing the role of Ms. Marvel in the movie.
Kamala Khan, a character created by Sana Amanat and Stephen Wacker, became a part of the Marvel family and made her first debut in the Marvel Comics in 2013. The Muslim superhero not only became popular, but also made a debut with her own title in the comics in 2014.
The movie ‘Captain Marvel’ will be released on the 8th March, 2019.
This upcoming movie of 2019 would revolve around a Pakistani-American superhero, Kamala Khan, a preppy girl just like the other teenagers of her own age, who later on discovers her extraordinary powers of healing and shape-lifting.
Bringing a Muslim superhero to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is undoubtedly an amazing idea as it would not only bring more Muslim people towards Marvel, but it would also make the non-Muslim audience interested as Marvel is bringing something different to its movies.
The determined superhero is meant to be a perfect character to generate young audience and fans just like it did in Spiderman: Homecoming.
Hence, with the announcement made official, we’re pretty excited to watch this Muslim superhero soar with the rest of the Marvel family within a few years, and watch as she becomes a successor in the Marvel world.
